On Thursday, Aug. 8, police were called to Byram Park on a report of a man urinating in the entrance parking lot who was driving a white Chevrolet truck, according to Greenwich Police.
Officers were also called to Mead Avenue about a mile away from the park on a report of a motor vehicle accident where the offending vehicle left the scene, said police.
Both calls were dispatched 10 minutes apart from one another, according to Greenwich Police.
The vehicle that left the scene of the accident was described as a white Chevrolet truck.
A police investigation revealed that the driver of the truck, Manuel Mora, 45, of Port Chester, had the smell of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, while officer spoke with him, said police.
He reportedly failed administered field sobriety tests and admitted being involved in the accident on Mead Avenue, according to Greenwich Police.
He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, evading responsibility, and failure to drive right.
Mora posted $250 bond and was given a Stamford court date of Thursday, Aug. 22.
